Lovely As a Tree has been around for a long, long time. If you always wanted it but haven't purchased it yet you'll be happy to know that it is now available in clear. The wood-mounted set is $27.95 but the clear-mounted set is only $19.95. Time to rethink this purchase!

Love this as a masculine card. To me, guy cards are the hardest to creatively design. But - just because it is a masculine card, doesn't mean it doesn't get a little bling - dazzling details was added to the leaves.

The leaves have started falling at my house. They were the inspiration for this card using the "French Foliage" stamp set from the SU! 2012-2013 catalog. It's a great set for making your own background paper!

The ribbon on this card is SU!'s 7/8" Cotton Ribbon - a stampable fine cotton texture. I stamped the ribbon with the same color of ink used in the card - what a way to complement the images and colors used to make the card.

This cool weather makes me want to stay in, drink cocoa and curl up on the coach with a comfy blanket. It is my favorite time of the year! So now I'm inspired to make fall cards. I love using purple in combination with traditional fall colors.....

Rich Razzleberry works nicely with Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake. I added just a touch of Baja Breeze also.

Found this idea on Pinterest - love the Circle Circus stamp set used as a Christmas card.

I used the Sassy Salutations stamp set for the sentiment (which is my favorite sentiment set) because I think its font style better fits the art style of Circle Circus. Colors are Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler. DS paper - Festival of Prints. And of course - bling!!

Cowboys Stadium

We visited Bryan and Ashlan a couple of weeks ago (and Kelty too)! We had a great time exploring the shops and restaurants in downtown Grapevine. Shopped at Frye's for an espresso machine.
We also toured Cowboys Stadium.

I used the Petite Pennants Builder punch,  DS paper and card stock embossed with the Big Shot textured impressions embossing folder for the pennants. Colors: wisteria wonder, pool party and luck limeade. Other: Boho Blossoms and Hear to Heart punches, "Hello" sentiment is from the Pennant Parade set and bakers twine to string the pennants.

Oopsie!

Christie and I took a day off this week to go to quilt shops in Borger and Pampa. Along the way, we learned of a new quilt shop in Canadian!! Definitely worth the drive.

My Oopsie

I bought enough fabric in Donna's for a new quilt for my king bed.  Haven't seen this fabric in Amarillo so I knew I had to get it when I saw it. The fabric is "hometown" by Moda and I had seen it on the internet but now I have it!! The gray and white pieces on the right I bought in Pampa - just kinda collecting gray fabric. And the rooster bird house - I found him in Alco.

Season of Friendship - Ready for Spring!!

Season of Friendship

Love the colors in this card: perfect plum, regal rose and certainly celery. The stamp set is "Season of Friendship" and comes in wood only. That means it's been in the catalog for a while - hope they don't retire it anytime soon.

The new 2012-2013 SU! Catalog comes out a month early this year! It will be out in June. That means the current catalog will expire at the end of May instead of June. Why? SU! is making changes in their catalog strategy. We'll still have an annual catalog but instead of 3 mini catalogs per year we'll have 2 bigger and better mini catalogs! I'm expecting the retirement list to come out in late April or early May. I'll keep you posted!!

Lovely As a Tree

This set has been in the SU! catalog a very long time. It is very versatile and there are so many uses for it!
Here I have made a "guy" birthday card.

The trees are stamped on DS paper "First Edition Speciality" using Staz On black ink. Sentiment is from the set "Bring on the Cake". Simplicity makes the perfect "guy" card!

Banners and Pennants!

This black and white card really makes a statement!

Pennant Parade

The banners are made from strips of basic black cardstock and the 1" square punch. The pennants are made from "pennant parade" punched out with the  "petite pennants" punch. Great way to use scraps and would be pretty with lots of different colors!
