Masculine Happy Birthday Card

I made this masculine happy birthday card for my husband. This is the 30th birthday that I have celebrated with him - a store card just wouldn't do!! I think the key to a masculine card is to keep it simple. Gray DS paper was layered onto sahara sand squares - using the 1" punch for the DS paper and the 1-1/4" punch for the sahara sand squares. The sentiment stamp is retired but was stamped in gray ink onto the gray background of the card.

I went old fashioned this year with Christmas cards. All of the DS papers, stamp sets and design elements have a feel of days gone by......

Thinking about making your own Christmas cards this year?? Here are a couple of simple ideas:

From the 2011 SU! Holiday Mini, the Big Shot Originals Die "Stocking Accents"  was used to create the candy canes. For the background, "Snow Burst" textured impressions embossing folder.  Stamp set is the "Warmest of Wishes" hostess set. Colors: real red, crumb cake, basic black and whisper white.

From the 2011-2012 SU! IBC, this card was made using the Big Shot XL Die "Tasteful Trim" for Santa's suite. The buckle was made using the "Curly Label" punch. Colors: real red, basic black and whisper white. Stamp set: "Christmas Greetings".

Order by December 5 to receive by December 12!!

Fall Y'all!!

While watering my flowers last night I saw the most beautiful butterfly. Summer was so hot and long! Thankfully we have had a couple of weeks of fall weather.

The butterfly was the inspiration for this card!

Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die

I used the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit die to cut out the butterflies in "Paisley Petals" DS paper. Card stock is basic gray on cajun craze. Very fall!!

Pretty Postage

This new stamp set "Pretty Postage" is from the 2011-2012 SU! Idea Book and Catalog. Do you have your new catalog yet??

This card is uses new In Color inks lucky limeade and island indigo. Also used are basic gray and daffodil delight. Each square is textured using Big Shot embossing folders then punched with the new coordinating Postage Stamp punch. Lots of uses for this stamp set!
