Nature Walk

Although it's not usually my style, I just love the Nature Walk set from the Occasions Mini. I hope it makes the 2011-2012 IBC! Colors used are: sahara sand (base), cherry cobbler, early espresso and daffodil delight.

New Baby Card

It doesn't happen often that I need a "new baby" card.....

This card is for Bryan and Ashlan's new niece Charleigh Jo. I love the banners! I'll admit that I got the idea from a blog but somehow mine never quite comes out the same.The blog that I found this on is A New Ink on Life.

I used the Sweet Shoppe Alphabet Upper and A Word for You Stamp sets. Colors are rose red and old olive. Also used the Big Shot Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Lots of punches were used: the extra-large square punch was used to make the banners. Also used the decorative label punch and the scallop oval punch for the sentiment.

Love Letter Flower

I'm really loving the "love letter" designer series paper from the SU! IBC. Colors are basic black,  riding hood red and very vanilla. And I really like SU!s designer buttons and pearls. What an easy way to dress up a card!

Busy Busy Busy!!!

I've been busy making cards over the last couple of weeks. I do this sometimes - I make a bunch of cards to have on hand for just the right occasion (like a workshop or a birthday)!

It's hard to say which is my favorite! I love the rosettes made out of ribbon. The striped grosgrain ribbon is cut in half before creating the rosette. This gives it a frayed look!

SU! introduced fabric in the Holiday Mini Catalog and also in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I had to have it!! Of course, it coordinates with SU!'s line of colors and they even have designer series paper to match. The fabric flowers above are a perfect way to use the designer fabric (thanks Ashlan). The fabric from the Holiday Mini is still available (Candy Cane Christmas and Deck the Halls). The Springtime Vintage is currently available in the Occasions Mini. Each fabric bundle comes with three  28"x18" extra large fat quarters for $9.95.
